Why get an edit?

We all want to believe that our first drafts are perfect. I know I do. But I also know that this is very (very) rarely the case. All writers benefit from having someone to help them hone and refine their story until it's the best that it can be. And that's where I come in. 

I offer structural edits on novels and short stories, focusing on plot, character, pacing, dialogue and more. I include notes on the manuscript as well as an in depth report full of constructive feedback. 

Everyone writes for different reasons. And they're all valid. I work with you to achieve the goals that you want. If that's a publishing contract, I'll offer market insights and advice on how your work might fit into current trends. 

I really believe that publishing should not be the preserve of the privileged. With that in mind, I try to keep my prices competitive, because I would never want cost to be a barrier to someone with an amazing story to tell!
